Last week, I went to Virginia to work at a summer camp for kids with medical needs (most had severe diabetes.) Anywhoooo… I had breakfast duty… aka waking up at 6:30 am, dragging my tired butt down to the dining hall, and setting it up for the fiasco that is 90 people (mostly kids under the age of 12) eating the most important meal of the day. Annnnnnywayyyy, I was asked to put out the Orange juice. NOT the hardest job, I suppose. Off to the walk in fridge, I went… thought to myself that 6 half gallons of OJ was definitely not going to be enough for the whole week (oh well)…grabbed 3, and set them out for everyone to enjoy… ONLY TO LATER FIND OUT THAT I HAD MISSED THE GIANT WATER COOLER MARKED "ORANGE JUICE" AND ACCIDENTALLY SET OUT 3 HALF GALLONS OF PURE ORANGE CONCENTRATE, INSTEAD. oops. In retrospect, I thought the OJ looked a little thick, but I just chalked it up to it being camp, and camp food is never great. I guess I'm just lucky that I wasn't dealing with a bunch of small children with blood sugar issues, who were specifically counting sugars, carbs and what not, for orange JUICE. oh wait…… happy to report that no diabetics were harmed in the midst of my humiliation.
